One of the old regulars in Tysons staying right up there with the many other new steak houses at Tysons (Capitol Grille, Palms, etc.) and classics in Vienna and Great Falls. It takes a major investment in ala carte menus but the lobsters can't be beat. We liked the oysters on the half shell far better than at McCormick & Schmick but everything was pricey. The bar is comfortable and dark/cozy in the evening with couples cooing in the corner over glasses of wine and a rollicking crew back slapping happy at the other end of the bar. Yes, if you get past an elaborate food introduction (tell them you know how steak is cooked and what YOU want - warm pink center = medium) then it will make the evening smoother and the service will go well. However, the noise level is fairly high in the rooms we ate unless you hit at 9 PM and have the crowd thin out for you. Super staff in the bar - Steve and Smitty make for an exceptional visit.
